Nothing much

England in spring is delightful, I especially love the long twilights. John and I go outside to our table and chairs tucked in the corner of our garden for dinner. The birds still chirping away at nine pm. The only problem are the mosquitoes, they are so tiny but they have a mean bite. Keeping the yard tidy is pretty easy but the grass grows very quickly, I put the grass clippings on the gardens, make it nice and neat. The next time I go outside the birds have partied in the clippings and scratched it every where, messy naughty birds. The bird that has built its nest over our front door also makes a big mess, with droppings all over the door mat, I imagine it will get worse when the eggs hatch, it is such a tiny bird. You would not think so by the droppings

As you know our back yard backs on to a school yard, there was not a problem in winter but now all the loud little brats play and scream just behind the fence. If I go outside I have children looking over the fence seeing what I am doing, it is awful. One day last week I was inside when I heard a helicopter flying very low, as I got outside it was landing in the school yard. A man in a blue uniform got out but I do not think it was a policeman. He was there for ten minutes he went into the school and came out drinking a cup of something then took off again, all the kids were kept back by the teachers. Now I am so curious……..I just would love to know what it was all about.

Last weekend John and I drove to a town called Lyme Regis on the beach. We took the ugly duckling ( that’s my Mercedes ). I let John drive as he would have too many comments if I did. The sand was no where to be seen just rocks, although the days have been warm on this day it started to rain and it got a little cool. There was a world champion speed water skiing event going on. Lots of nationalities and one Australian, we watched them speed around in a circle, lap after lap on the rough water. It was exciting watching the young Australian of 18 slowly get in front, his name is Ben Gully and he won. I found it hard not to scream out whoopee amongst the crowd of disgruntled poms.
Being a kept woman has given me time to rediscover my cooking skills, I thought my cooking was awful but now realise that I never had the time or the inclination to go all out after a hard day at work. Even Kurt commented on my meals however he still says my savoury mince is awful but John and I love it. John has requested that I do not pile the plate up with so much food, because he is getting too fat.
All the books that I have accumulated and never read I am slowly getting to read now. So I read if I go by train to Reading shopping centre and some times I go to Basingstoke, I love train travel and it is only a ten minute walk to the station, coming back with groceries can be problem if the groceries are heavy. My arms are stretched and feel as if my knuckles will drag on the ground.
