Australia

26th of March
After saying our goodbyes to Margaret Stephen and Sally we had to go to a post office for John’s new passport application. Bronwyn’s house in Baulkham hill was our next stop to collect Ben, who would be joining us for two days while we visit Suzie and Des his auntie and uncle, they live at Lake Haven. Suzie and Des have a rather large home we did not kick any one out of their room this time. Susie had cooked a pot roast and we again had overeaten. We walked around the local streets to settle the tummy, I was feeling very tired, the jet lag was catching up. All I wanted to do was sleep, I did not want to be rude, however I did go to bed early apologizing to them both. Thursday morning we were awoken by barking dogs that Suzie had pre warned us of. Suzie and Des had gone to work. After a late breakfast Ben and John went off to play golf at Wyong Golf Club and dropped me off at Mingara resort, where I had lunch with Karee. All the staff know all about me, Karee must tell every one what I do over the pa system, it is a lovely family atmosphere be it all young ones. Karee had to go to a meeting at two so I sat in the show room while waiting for John and Ben to come back from golf not realising the wait I was to have. They had a good game and Ben even got the better of his dad on a few holes. From Lake Haven back to Baulkham Hills for Ben’s 21st dinner. Jackie and Alex came with us it was a wonderful evening with Bronwyn and David making every effort to make Ben’s day special.
The young ones left early to party on in town, while the older party goers stayed on I had volunteered to be the designated driver. Still very tired I had a cat nap on the lounge while waiting to chauffeur every one home to Stanhope. Little did Alex and Jackie know that I suffer from night blindness I got them home with only a few minor mishaps, John was navigating from the passenger seat.
Sleeping well from a late night John and I prepared for the drive to Mudgee to stay with my folks for three days. My sister Sylvia and her partner Peter also stayed with mum and dad. We had a busy three days catching up with many of my friends, I caught up with my old work colleagues and was amazed at all the changes made in Rozanna’s pharmacy. Mudgee looked so green and vibrant the town is booming. It was sad leaving Mudgee especially when I noticed a tear in my mothers eye when we were parting. So I had a little cry on my way to Sydney.
